Miley Cyrus Sick & Cancels Germany Events, Singer Writes on Twitter
Miley Cyrus put her European press tour on hold and cancelled upcoming events due to getting sick while in Germany, she revealed via Twitter.
The We Can't Stop singer is currently going around the continent promoting her new music, which includes her upcoming album. However, Cyrus took time off Thursday to recover from an upset stomach, according to SF Gate. She canceled a meeting with German newspaper Bild in Berlin, and the tabloid reported that a sushi dinner gave the star gastric problems.
In a series of Twitter posts, Cyrus explained the situation.
"Sick in bed :( Away from home. Music is the best medicine," she wrote. "Sorry 2 Bild and all my fans for not being able to make it today! Something's are outta my control. I'm really sick thanks for understanding. And I apologize in advance to any reporters I may puke on or get sick. No rest for the wicked."
The 20-year-old is resting in bed and watching movies on her day off, according to her Twitter posts. She wrote, "Why do I torture myself and watch PS I LOVE YOU. Saddest moviiiiie."
Though she wrote about being sick and taking time off, Perez Hilton reported that the singer did in fact end up doing the scheduled interview. Bild revealed that after a brief visit from an ambulance, Cyrus felt better and the newspaper's editors went straight to her hotel to talk with her. The publication also reported that she looked healthy and sported a red Versace mini.
In a similar incident back in late June, Cyrus got so sick that she her coughing and sore throat held her back from performing her We Can't Stop when the track first came out. Cyrus battled a reported case of laryngitis shortly after the single video debuted on June 19.
On the track she sings, "To my homegirls with the big butts/Shaking it like we at the strip club" and makes drug references such as "Everyone in line in the bathroom/Trying to get a line in the bathroom/We all so turned up here."
