'The Expendables 3' Cast UFC Ronda Rousey and Boxer Victor Ortiz
Sylvester Stallone is lining up professional fighters for his next Expendables film.
The writer took to his Twitter on Monday in order to announce the casting of a UFC fighter and a former welterweight boxer for the third installment in the Expendables franchise.
"Ronda Rousey will show championship form in Expendables 3! So will multi [c]hampion Victor Ortiz," Stallone tweeted.
Ultimate Fighting Champion star Rousey is currently staring in "The Ultimate Fighter" on FX across from Miesha Tate. The two will battle for the bantamweight belt this December at UFC 168, according to the Los Angeles Times.
However, people within the UFC are not completely pleased with Rousey's choice to include acting in her resume at this point.
"I don't want to take away any opportunities from Ronda, but at the same time, her window of opportunity as a professional athlete is really narrow," sid UFC president Dana White on UFC Tonight, according to Fox News Latino. "She could make a zillion movies when she retires. Where she's really going to get the money is here fighting,"
Victor Ortiz is not a stranger to show business either, having just come off a six week run on ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
The newest Expendables film is due out in 2014 and will star Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jackie Chan.
