DJ Khaled reportedly proposted to his YMCMB labelmate Nicki Minaj in front of MTV News cameras, according to a Thursday report.

"Nicki Minaj, I'm at MTV, I'm going to be honest with you; I love you," the hitmaker said to the camera, speaking directly to the Pink Friday singer. "I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine."

He then popped the question to the female rapper, saying, "Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?"

Khaled was so serious that he reportedly went to the MTV studios with a 10 carat radiant cut diamond ring, from Rafaello & Co. in Manhattan's famed diamond district. The ring is valued at about $500,000, according to the report. He then explained his reasoning behind the proposal, saying he and Minaj have much in common.

"We got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success," the DJ said, referring to both of their crazy schedules with shows, apperances and recording. "[If] you gotta take your time and think about it, I overstand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and how serious this is to me."

Khaled told Minaj in the video that she can take her time to think about the proposal, but that he has wanted to pop the question ever since 2012 when the duo worked on the Take It To A Head video.

No reports on whether or not Minaj, who is currently single, has responded to the proposal.
