Prince Andrew Plans To Keep Queen Elizabeth II In The Dark Over Legal Strategy Despite Funding For His Battle
Queen Elizabeth II has been kept in the dark about Prince Andrew's plans to deal with the sexual assault claims leveled against him by Virginia Giuffre.
The Duke of York is said to have had little or no conversation about the allegations with top British royals, including his older brother Prince Charles and Prince William.
The 61-year-old has been "less than forthright" about how he plans to combat Virginia's charges, according to royal sources who spoke to The Mirror.
"From the top down, everyone has been kept in the dark."
The prince is now entangled in a lawsuit brought by Jeffrey Epstein's sex slave, who says Prince Andrew sexually molested her three times when she was 17 years old in 2001.
All of Virginia's assertions have been flatly refuted by Prince Andrew.
The news that Queen Elizabeth II is unaware of his favorite son's legal intentions comes as his imminent hearing on Jan. 4 approaches, with insiders alleging that he has asked his attorneys to postpone their Christmas plans so they can concentrate on the sexual assault allegations.
According to reports, the father of two instructed his American legal team that they needed to leave "no stone unturned" before the next court.
Sources revealed that Prince Andrew has been obsessed with the impending court battle and has been staying up late talking with his attorneys.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph reported that despite not knowing anything, Queen Elizabeth II is apparently paying millions of pounds to discreetly support his son's defense against sex assault charges.
The legal expense, according to royal courtiers, is now in the millions.
Her Majesty has been funding for her son's legal defense since 2020, shortly after his catastrophic November 2019 interview.
The money for the royal's legal fees is said to come from the Queen's Duchy of Lancaster estate, which earns more than $25 million each year.
The Duke's American legal staff was recently extended with the addition of Melissa Lerner, who works alongside head counsel Andrew Brettler.
Brettler is said to be charging the princely sum of $2,000 per hour.
According to the Daily Mail, Lerner and Brettler both work for high-profile LA law firms Lavely Singer and are considered to be the go-to guys for celebrities' legal issues.
Prince Andrew's personal finances are unknown at this time, however many royal specialists assume he does not have a consistent source of income.
