Prince William To Lead Christmas Festivities For A Day? Royal Reveals His Plans for the 'Big Party'
It seems like Prince William is eager to showcase his leadership skills in the upcoming Christmas celebrations as the royal reveals his plans for the "big party."
According to one report, the Duke of Cambridge had recently discussed what he would do if ever he was given the task to be in charge of the Christmas festivities at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
Express reported that the royal had recently appeared on the hospital radio. Some of the young patients get the opportunity to engage in a conversation with the Prince of Wales.
Prince William's Pre-Christmas Visit
During his visit, Prince William was asked by a 12-year old patient named Sonya how he would plan out the December 25th event. The royal was "stumped" by the sudden inquiry but followed it up with an answer as he replied, "I think I'd have to make sure everyone could enjoy it."
"So, we'd have to bring everyone together and have a big party and there would be no Covid and there would certainly be no cancer in the world if I was in charge of Christmas for the day," the Duke continued to say.
Prince William also confessed what he wants for Christmas to 3-year old Reid, who had asked him what the top item on his wish list was, to which he said, "I'd want my favorite football team Aston Villa to win their match on Boxing Day,"
Queen Elizabeth Cancels Party
The publication disclosed that the Royal Marsden is the world's first hospital dedicated to cancer diagnosis, treatment, research, and education. It is also found in a prime location which is just sixteen miles from Kensington Palace and easily accessible for any member of the royal family to visit.
Based on the article, Prince William has been the President of the royal organization for fourteen years and inherited his mother's position, the late Princess Diana.
It seems like the monarchy is lessening any social interaction during the holiday season as even Queen Elizabeth has altered her Christmas plans to set an example to the public.
According to Vanity Fair, Her Royal Majesty canceled hosting her annual pre-Christmas luncheon party usually held at the Buckingham Palace. But, new chances were made as the Queen moved to Windsor Castle this year as per the Queen's request as she is currently living in the residence since the pandemic had started.
