Taylor Swift Harry Styles Breakup Not Featured in 'This is Us' Despite Rumors, Director Says
One Direction's 3D documentary This Is Us will not feature band member Harry Styles' relationship with Taylor Swift, the film's director told Teen Vogue recently.
The United Kingdom pop band graces the September 2013 issue of the magazine and as part of their cover story, film director Morgan Spurlock spoke to the publication about This is Us, debuting on Aug. 29 in the U.S.
Styles and Swift dated briefly in 2012. They celebrated Swift's December birthday in England and she accompanied him when he got his ship tattoo in Los Angeles. They were also spotted at a sky resort in Salt Lake City, Utah, days before Christmas. Things began to unravel in January and though they were videotaped kissing at Times Square, N.Y. when the ball dropped on New Year's eve, they broke up shortly after.

Spurlock told the teen magazine that no instances of Swift and Styles' relationship play out on screen in One Direction's documentary, despite contrary claims. He confirmed that shooting for the film began after the singers broke up.
"It gets frustrating for them at times, because suddenly stuff gets printed that isn't even true. I saw an article that said, 'Harry Styles demands Taylor Swift be taken out of the movie.' But by the time we started filming in January, they had already split up."

Swift has shows for her Red tour scheduled through December but reportedly told friends she wants to think about getting dating again when she gets time off. The singer is also altering her boyfriend criteria, a source told Hollywood Life.
"She wants to focus on old-fashioned dates and finding a real guy who can make her happy - whether he's famous or not," the source said. "She's just going to shift her focus from the Hollywood guys to the more down-to-earth guys who can give her some stability and make her feel loved and not used."
