Actor Anthony Ramos didn't get his start on screen, but on stage - in a stage performance that you can now actually see on screen. His first big role was in Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway box office breaker Hamilton, playing dual roles: Jonathan Lawrence, Hamilton's close friend and confidant, in the first act; and Philip Hamilton, the founding father's firstborn son, in the second. More recently, he was cast as the lead in the movie version of Miranda's preceding musical, In The Heights.

But musicals aren't all Anthony Ramos does. He was also featured alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the Oscar-winning remake of A Star Is Born, and he was recently tapped for the upcoming Transformers movie, slated to release sometime in 2023.

And Transformers isn't even going to be the next biggest thing Ramos acts in - not now. That's because the actor has reportedly been cast in the upcoming MCU series Ironheart, a story about a 15-year-old MIT student who reverse-engineers Iron Man's suit to make her own. The student, Riri Williams, will be played by actress Dominique Thorne, and is rumored to be making her first appearance in the MCU later this year, in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

That movie, of course, doesn't come out until November, so we are still quite a ways away from even a first look at Ironheart. We do know, however, that Ramos' part is not expected to be a small one: Sources have told Deadline that his introduction will be one that impacts the MCU in far more areas than just this one show - meaning that Ramos is joining the MCU in earnest.

What remains to be seen, however, is whether this babyfaced actor will be playing a hero or a villain. He's certainly used to playing a good guy, but the way Deadline compared him to Kang the Conquerer in Loki gives us pause.

Either way, we're excited to see Anthony Ramos make his Marvel debut in the next few years. Ironheart, one of the new series headed to Disney+ as part of MCU Phase Four, is expected to begin filming in April.
