Andrew Garfield is ready to tackle the Oscars stage. He's not eyeing to be a nominee only, but also a possible performer - singing with Will Smith if possible. He said so himself.

Following his nomination as best actor on Tuesday for his role in "Tick, Tick...Boom," the 38-year-old actor revealed his desire to join Will Smith onstage at the Academy Awards, and sing "Miami," the actor's 1997 smash single.

The British actor claimed he's "available" when asked by Variety if he'd sing during the program next month. He's presumably joking, but who knows?

"In the month or so I'd have to prep, I think I could get there to be confident enough to take a swing at something. Listen, I'm available. I'm open," Garfield joked. The Oscars are set to air on March 27.

"I've watched the Oscars since I was a kid. Being involved in that way would be surreal, to understate it. If it's the right thing, it's the right thing," he said.

"The last time I sang before 'Tick, Tick ... Boom!' was Will Smith's 'Welcome to Miami' in karaoke. Maybe that's the opening number. I know the lyrics by heart," the "Amazing Spider-Man" actor explained.

Garfield also made some recommendations as to the show's possible host.

"It's such a hard gig. There are a lot of people who would do it beautifully. Steve Martin and Martin Short would be pretty incredible," he explained. "Amy Poehler and Tina Fey should host everything. Tom Holland would be wonderful," he added.

This is his second Academy Award nomination and yet he's still enamored by it all. In fact, he feels quite emotional about the whole thing. "This is really emotional. It's deeply moving to be honored and recognized in this way. It's very surreal. I keep thinking about myself as a 16-year-old acting student, just wondering if I had what it took or if I was barking up the wrong tree," he said.

For his role in Mel Gibson's film "Hacksaw Ridge," Garfield was already nominated in 2017.

Smith, 53, was nominated for two Oscars this year. Specifically, he received nods for for the Best Actor and for Best Picture categories for the Venus and Serena Williams biopic, "King Richard."

Back in 2002 and 2007, the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star was nominated for "Ali" and "The Pursuit of Happyness."

Speaking to the New York Times about the recognition he received, Smith revealed that he was at a business conference in Wyoming when he heard the happy news. "It was like, uh oh, wait, let me Google myself and see what happened," he said. "But it was just a beautiful, pleasant surprise."
