What caused Anthony Johnson's death has been found out by the coroner's office.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner officially released a report after Johnson's untimely death in September. The "House Party" actor was only 55.

The document revealed that Anthony Johnson's cause of death was due to chronic ethanol use, with the manner of death noted as "natural." The office did not provide any causes of death aside from the aforesaid use that led to multi-system organ failure. But it is also worth noting that the medical examiner did not find alcohol or drugs in his system.

However, his family indeed confirmed that the actor drank alcohol regularly and used narcotics infrequently.

The same report disclosed that the actor died following his admission to a hospital. At the time of his admission, Johnson also tested positive for COVID-19, although he remained asymptomatic throughout his stay.

Although his death broke people's hearts, his widow Lexis told a news outlet that she wants the actor's cause of death to be publicized to warn people about the fatal effects of alcohol. With Johnson's passing, Lexis pledged to continue his legacy through the foundation she is creating under his name.

The matriarch also began teaching the youth about the dangers of alcohol while inspiring others not to consume alcohol.
