'The Golden Spoon' Is Heading To Series At Netflix Under 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Co-Creator Brosh Mckenna's Lead
The Golden Spoon is the newest limited series coming to Hulu, and we can't wait!
This new series is set to blend three things that we absolutely can not get enough of: limited series, murder-comedy, and BAKING SHOWS! According to an article on Deadline, The Golden Spoon will chronicle a murder mystery that takes place on the set of a cooking show.
The show will be adapted from the upcoming novel of the same title by Jessica Olien, who writes under the pseudonym Jessa Maxwell. According to the official Good Reads description, the show will follow:
"When production for the tenth season of the hit cooking competition Bake Week begins at the gothic estate of the show's host and founder, celebrity chef Betsy Martin, everything seems normal. The six contestants are eager to prove their culinary talents over the course of five days, while Betsy struggles for control of the show with her new co-host, the brash and unpredictable Archie Morris. But as the baking competition gets under way, things begin to go awry. At first it's merely sabotage-sugar replaced with salt, a burner turned to high-but then someone shows up dead and suddenly everyone's a suspect."
So, if you are just itching to see The Great British Baking Show with a comically murderous twist, this will likely be the show for you. The show has been written and will be show-run by the absolutely incredible Brosh McKenna. McKenna has proven herself time and time again. She worked as the co-creator on the hit musical-comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
