Meat Loaf's life will soon be remembered in the most heartfelt way, thanks to his wife, Deborah Aday.

The music industry was left crippled after the rock legend passed away last month. Though the world saw one less talented man after his death, his wife planned a heartwarming celebration of life service for the late rocker.

On Thursday, Aday released a statement confirming that she would launch a gathering "he would be proud of." She reportedly wants to have a service to honor his legacy.

"The love and appreciation we've received from friends and fans from around the world have been staggering, and it offers me such comfort. I want to say thank you to everyone for the support during the most difficult time of my life," she said, as quoted by PEOPLE.

Details about the event remain unknown. But it would surely take away the grief somehow as people still try to process what happened to the "Bat Out of Hell" hitmaker.

What Happened to Meat Loaf?

On January 20, the legendary musician died at the age of 74, leaving behind his wife and daughters, Pearl and Amanda.

Following his death, Aday expressed her heartbreak in a statement where she called him her best friend, lover, and confidant.

"The grief I feel over the loss of my husband is gut-wrenching. I was lying close to Michael when he took his last breath and my sadness is beyond words. I've always called him by his given name because I didn't see him as 'Meat.' I feel much gratitude for the outpouring of love I have received from around the world," she said.

Initial reports suggested that he died due to COVID-19. But a confirmation regarding his cause of death is yet to be publicized.

Meat Loaf first found success when he starred in the musical "Hair," before appearing in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Before his tragic passing, he was still able to appear in an interview with Rolling Stone in 2021 recalling how he sang all the songs in character.

"I left me. I was not method. I didn't have to find something in my past life to be able to sing his songs. I became the song," he went on.
