Stand-Up Comedian Nore Davis from 'The Tonight Show' and 'Dickinson' Is Heckled With Racism: Here is How He Responded
Nore Davis shot down racism in the middle of his comedy show like an EXPERT.
Comedian Nore Davis is known for his work on the Apple TV+ series Dickinson and has been seen performing his amazing comedy on The Tonight Show and on Conan. He took to Instagram to post a clip from a previous show in which a woman in the audience makes some racist remarks. He posts the audio clip with the caption "Didn't mean my jokes to expose racism but just like that...it did."
Davis must have made a joke about Tom Brady earlier in the set. The woman calls out, "No tryna make up for your negative comment about Tom Brady. You are in Michigan territory, boy." At that the crowd fell silent. A different audience member is heard saying, "Excuse me?!" (which is exactly what we were all thinking). Davis, however, a true professional, handles the racist comment with grace.
"Tom Brady don't represent Michigan, he's Boston, and this ain't 1857 Linda! What the f***? Don't 'boy' me!" To that, Davis was met with well deserved cheers and response. He continues, "Well maybe her husband with her, too. He's acting soft. 'Merica!'"
The heckler tries to rescind their comments, and Davis quickly quips, "you can't retract racism." He closes out the set, "That Tom Brady joke must've been real good." While it is unfortunate and upsetting that Davis had to deal with this at all, we must applaud him for handling it like a true professional.
Nore Davis will be recording his next comedy album at New York Comedy Club on March 25th.
