Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright! Kingsley Ben-Adir to Take On The Role Of Bob Marley in Upcoming Biopic!
Kingsley Ben-Adir is set to star in the new upcoming Bob Marley biopic and this role has some calling him the next Chadwick Boseman.
According to an article on Variety, Kingsley Ben-Adir, who has been most recently known for his work in One Night in Miami where he took on the role of Malcom X, is set to portray the well-known and much beloved reggae singer Bob Marley. There have not yet been any major reveals about the plot, but we know that the film will focus on the life and career of Marley, showing viewers the ins and outs of the man who brought reggae music into the mainstream. We are certain that this biopic will be an absolutely unmissable experience. Ben-Adir also played Barack Obama for a Showtime project as well.
Alongside our confidence in Ben-Adir as the leading man, we share equal confidence in the director of the biopic, Reinaldo Marcus Green. Green's most recent success was on the instantly iconic film following the life of the Williams family, King Richard. The movie, starring the incredible Will Smith, was nominated for six Oscar awards. We can, therefore, say with confidence that Green has tested talent and experience working with historically based content. With Green and Ben-Adir teaming up, this movie is likely to couple the success of King Richard.
Not only is the creative team well assembled but the film has the support of Bob Marley's family. Bob Marley's wife, son, and daughter, Rita Marley, Ziggy Marley, and Cedella Marley, are helping to produce the film through Tuff Gong. With their familial eye on the project, we can be sure that this upcoming biopic will be crafted with care.
Congratulations Kingsley Ben-Adir! We will keep up with details on the biopic as they come out!
