The preview trailer for Basketball Wives season 5 reveals that Evelyn Lozada addressed the domestic incident with her ex-husband Chad Johnson.

In the beginning of the 21-second teaser, Lozada shows her serious side by discussing the "physical altercation" she had with Johnson, two months after they got married. Lozada is seen crying as the screen flashes an actual copy of the police report and a picture from the former couple's wedding day.

The teaser quickly shows Lozada's friend Suzie Ketchum telling new cast member Tasha Marbury that the Latin beauty does not need a boyfriend.

Marbury joked that maybe Lozada should "wear a helmet" on a future date. Lozada is then seen visibly upset as she asks Ketchum about Marbury's remark.

"And you thought that was funny?" she said.

Lozada shared the promotional video on her official blog on July 29 and added the caption, "Truly not happy with this encounter. SMH."

Lozada previously shared photos she took from the set of the BBW promotional shoot. View the pictures here.

Lozada's domestic violence incident with Johnson, a former Miami Dolphins star, led to his arrest on Aug. 11, 2012. Johnson allegedly head-butted Lozada after she questioned him about a receipt she found for a box of condoms. The alleged attack resulted in a laceration on her forehead that required stitches.

The reality star had just married Johnson on July 4 in Saint Martin. The wedding planning and ceremony were recorded for their reality show Ev and Ocho, but VH1 announced they dropped the show from their fall lineup due to the violent incident.

Lozada eventually ended her two-month marriage to Johnson on Sept. 19. The divorce was finalized a month after Lozada filed a legal separation on Aug. 14. In the divorce petition, she stated their marriage was "irretrievably broken." The couple had only been married for six weeks.

Lozada briefly discussed BBW season 5 in a previous interview with Sista 2 Sista magazine.

"We never go into a season saying, 'Hey, well this is what we're going to do,'" Lozada told Sista 2 Sista. "I know it's been...a little crazy, but we kinda just go with the flow. We're hoping it's smooth rolling next season."

Royce Reed, who appeared on seasons 1 through 4, said she will not be returning for season 5.

The new season of Basketball Wives premieres on Monday, Aug. 19 at 8/7C on VH1.
