Wendy Williams' Son Played A Role In Bank Freezing Her Accounts With Millions of Dollars? [DETAILS]
Wendy Williams has been embroiled in a nasty battle with her bank after they decided to freeze her accounts, stopping the media personality from withdrawing from her millions of funds.
But now, it seems like her son, 21-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr., had something to do with it, despite not knowing about it.
Kevin Jr. reportedly holds the power of attorney in her lawsuit against Wells Fargo.
The Sun reported that per Wendy's attorney, the bank requested that they obtain a power of attorney because they wouldn't speak with Kevin Jr. about her bank accounts without one.
A quick Google search would define power of attorney as a designated individual that has the right to make decisions about another person's property, finances, or even medical care when the person couldn't.
The host's lawyer explained how she wanted online access to her accounts, adding that Wendy wanted Kevin Jr. to help her.
"Wendy wanted Little Kevin to begin to take on responsibilities," they added.
The lawyer further claimed that no improper transactions were made on the action and further explained, "The only transaction that anyone tried to make is Wendy attempting to place a power of attorney in the files so that if there were any inquiries, she could have her son make them."
Wendy Williams' lawyer claimed that her financial advisor was devastated that Kevin Jr. became involved in his mom's financial affairs.
When Kevin Jr.'s power of attorney paperwork was submitted, Wendy's lawyer said her account was immediately frozen.
Additionally, an insider with direct knowledge of the case revealed that the power of attorney paperwork became one of the issues why the bank decided to freeze her accounts.
It immediately triggered Wells Fargo's request to the judge for a guardianship hearing for the host.
Page Six first reported however that the case with Wendy vs. Wells Fargo is sealed, ad any potential hearing and judgment will not be made known to the public.
Wendy Williams' Ex-Husband Also Plays A Role
Early this week, The Sun also revealed that Wendy Williams and her ex-husband Kevin Hunter share the same lawyer.
It was revealed earlier that LaShawn Thomas of Miami Entertainment Law Group represents Kevin's businesses including Head Hunter Productions and Hunter Publishing.
However, LaShawn said that though she is the lawyer for both, she is not representing either of them "in an adversarial proceeding."
She added, "Whatever is going on with Wendy, I don't disclose to him. I believe in protecting the attorney-client privilege."
