Queen Elizabeth II Cancels Engagements Following Positive COVID Test: Is Her Condition Worse Than Imagined?
When Buckingham Palace reported that Queen Elizabeth II had tested positive for COVID, the entire world was stunned.
The 95-year-old queen has lately decided to postpone her scheduled virtual meetings for the day in order to focus on her recovery from her illness.
Even while she has continued to carry out modest responsibilities since testing positive, such as going through her daily red box and signing off on official documents, Queen Elizabeth II has apparently not been healthy enough to participate in her virtual meetings from Windsor Castle.
Is her situation, on the other hand, serious enough to warrant the concern of many royal fans?
According to Buckingham Palace's statement, "As Her Majesty is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms, she has decided not to undertake her planned virtual engagements today, but will continue with light duties."
The Queen's future activities will be evaluated on a regular basis, according to another insider who spoke to People magazine.
While she continues to isolate herself, it has been revealed that certain members of her Royal Household at Windsor Castle have also tested positive for the illness, which she is now fighting.
It was reported on Sunday that Queen Elizabeth II had been diagnosed with cancer, and the Palace also stated that she would be receiving medical treatment in accordance with established protocols.
The news of her positive test came more than a week after Prince Charles disclosed that he had tested positive.
It has been reported that the Prince of Wales met with the Queen on February 8 and then tested positive on February 10.
He was not the only one who tested positive for COVID; his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, did as well on February 14.
For a face-to-face meeting with departing Defense Services Secretary Rear Admiral James Macleod and Major General Eldon Millar on February 16, the Queen did not wear a mask.
Last month, Queen Elizabeth II announced that she had received her first shot of the vaccination and even encouraged people to do the same, according to The BBC.
Earlier this week, a video of the monarch speaking with UK health experts was released on Twitter.
She said in the clip, "Once you've had the vaccine, you have a feeling of, you know, you're protected, which is I think very important."
Official sources from the BBC claim that Queen Elizabeth II had three doses of the COVID vaccination throughout her reign.
The COVID test is demanded of everybody who enters the palace to visit the Queen, according to reports.
