A Man Of Many Talents, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Leant His Voice to Paddington Bear!
With all eyes on the conflict in Ukraine, it isn't always easy to find a bright spot amidst all of the sufferings Russia has caused. That is unless the discussion turns toward Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who, the more we find out about him, the more the world sees a caring, funny, talented man who not only is a brilliant leader but also an interesting character in his own right, well beyond his indomitable spirit which has kept his people's moral at a high.
Before his time as the Ukrainian President, Zelensky was an actor who starred in a Ukrainian television program called Servant of the People, where he played a teacher who eventually becomes the President of Ukraine. The show lasted three seasons and is the epitome of life imitating art.
But President Zelensky's career didn't stop there. In fact, he is a part of one of the best family film franchises to come out in quite some time. Only, we wouldn't have known of his involvement stateside had it not been for Paddington star Hugh Bonneville, who plays Henry Brown in the films. He took to Twitter on Sunday to point out who played the voice of the titular bear in the Ukrainian release.
You guessed it.
President Zelensky lent his vocal talents to Paddington. He even made a video to promote Paddington 2 where he is shown performing in the recording studio and it is a sight to behold.
It isn't often world leaders show a side of themselves which don't tout them as anything other than a powerful leader and simply show the person behind their position. This small tidbit about Zelensky brings such a human quality to an individual we already knew as a great ally to his people and the world. It shows a further human side to the brutality he is facing while holding strong, staying on the front lines, and fighting for what he holds dear.
Our hearts go out to President Zelensky, the people of Ukraine, and all who have been affected by the ongoing invasion.
