Selena Gomez went without her pretty heels when she went onstage as a presenter at Sunday's Screen Actors Guild Awards at Santa Monica's Barker Hangar. The actress just decided she has had enough of her heels and went barefoot in front of all the celebrities in the event. Fans however, loved it - claiming it's just very Selena.

The 29-year-old actress was joined onstage by her "Only Murders in the Building" co-star Martin Short, 71, as presenters for the Outstanding Female Actress in a Supporting Role award. Ariana DeBose of "West Side Story " proceed to win the award in this category.

The "Dead Don't Die" actress wore a black Oscar de la Renta gown with a $1 million Bulgari necklace studded with more than 200 carats of diamonds to the award event in Southern California.

Gomez was earlier spotted on the red carpet wearing a pair of black shoes, which she tripped on. It's not clear if this is the reason why she refused to continue wearing the shoes anymore.

Gomez's opulent look for Sunday's presentation was created by her team, which included stylist Kate Young, makeup artist Hung Vanngo, hairdresser Marissa Marino, and nail technician Tom Bachik.

Gomez recorded her beauty regimen in preparation for the award season staple earlier Sunday.

A lot of the actress's admirers flocked to Twitter on Sunday evening to applaud her for her realistic fashion choice.

One gushing fan wrote, "selena presenting barefoot is the most selena gomez thing ever," while another reckoned, "selena going barefoot infront of some of the biggest celebrities is actually the most selena gomez thing she could do #SAGAwards."

One cannot believe it. "Who walks barefoot at an award show? Only Selena Gomez ... she really hosted the award barefoot," the commenter wrote.

One fan said it made the show. "SelenaGomez barefoot is my fav part of the #SAGAwards so far!," this fan wrote.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens were able to reunite backstage at the SAG Awards, prompting the netizens to pause for a minute to reminisce about simpler days when the former Disney stars were idolized.

Following their hugely successful series and films with Disney, the duo co-starred in 2012's "Spring Breakers," were photographed shopping in Paris together, discussed offering each other advice - and even assisted one another in avoiding embarrassing past encounters. Vanessa aided Selena when she had to come face to face with her ex, Justin Bieber, at the 2015 Met Gala.

She's one of my best friends and you just want to have your girlfriend's back, so that's what I did... We didn't, like, try to avoid him or anything. I mean, no one really wants to see your ex-boyfriend," Hudgens said to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live."

Will this be the start of more meetups down the road?
