The Uncut Gems actor spoke about her relationship with Kanye West. While many for a time were painting Fox to be a sad woman scorned after the break-up, rumors that she quickly dispelled, she has opened up to say that her relationship with Ye was like a celebrity-crash-course.
According to an article on People the star shared that when it comes to her internet superimposed heartbreak, "It's not real...It's only happening on the internet. I'm not actively engaging with it. I don't feel it. I'm still 1,000 percent me. Nothing's changed, except, I will say, having been around Kanye was like a crash course on how to be famous." It is true that by associating herself with one of the world's most famous men, Fox was thrust into the limelight in a way she had not been before.
While her relationship gave her undeniable entrance into another world, Fox knew it was never one that was meant to last. "I tried my best to make it work. I already had a jam-packed life. How do I fit this really big personality into this already full life? It just wasn't sustainable. I lost like 15 lbs. in that month."
She also shared that the relationship never felt real. This is likely part of the reason that she was never really broken up when it all came to an end. "It definitely felt like I was his girlfriend. But it also felt like I was being cast in the role of his girlfriend - and he was casting me. He was the orchestrator of it all. It really did feel like a movie."
