New Kids On The Block have just released a nostalgia bomb of a single with a video for their song "Bring Back The Time." Featuring Salt-N-Peppa, Rick Astley, and the ladies of En Vogue, this song slaps for so many reasons.

The song, which is a love song for years gone by, has NKOTB channeling the past; the video sees them acting out some of the most iconic music videos of yesteryear.

This is a treat for all ages: VJ and DJ Ralph McDaniels introduces the song in an MTV-style intro, giving the piece a throwback feel right off the bat. In the video, the boys lampoon 80's balladeers Journey with their mulleted hair and middift tees; Donny Walhberg rocks a Flock of Seagulls hairdo; and they threw in a reenactment of the popular Devo video for "Whip It" for good measure.

The craziness doesn't stop there. Nods to the late Robert Palmer classic "Simply Irresistible" and Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" have the fellas rocking everything from suits to glam metal make-up, in some of the most fun spoofs put to song in a while.

Enter the queens Salt-N-Peppa lending their talents, alongside En Vouge, as they sport cheerleading uniforms like the ones in Toni Basil's "Mickey" video. Everything from Michael Jackson's "Bad" to Billy Idol gets a callback as the pulse-pounding track takes us through the past decades of musical iconography. And all to kick off The New Kids On The Block's Mixtape Tour 2022.

Honestly, this was the best way to start my day. The song sounds like something The Weeknd would have produced, with an innovative video Spike Jonze might have put together back in the day.

New Kids On The Block are back in a big bad way, and they might just be playing in a city near you this summer.
