Melanie Martin, the ex-wife of Aaron Carter, has petitioned the court for a retraining order in the bid that this will prevent the singer from harming her.

The 34-year-old filed a motion in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, according to records acquired by Radar.

Carter allegedly assaulted her on February 21, according to her. They argued over her supposed flirting with another man after their breakup, Martin claimed.

"He punched me in the left rib and pushed me. I didn't feel the pain till a few days later, then left the house because he threatened to give me a restraining order then I went to Kaiser, my doctor and took X-rays. 3 broken ribs," she wrote.

In Martin's mind, Carter is to blame for the fractured ribs he sustained. For the first time she alleges he's ever been that aggressive with her.

"He is upset that I talked to another man so he got violent because he is upset. He tried to threaten me with a fake allegation If I didn't leave after and all my things were still at the house and my baby as well," she added.

The abuse was not just on her, but on their baby too.

Martin claims that Carter compelled her to take her baby to live at a friend's house after he placed them "on the streets."

Martin said she just wants the court to protect her and their baby, Prince Carter, from him.

If the boy is in his father's custody, the Department of Child and Family Services has threatened to take him away from him, she claims. "I will be with the child, not the father until the court decides," she wrote.

She also said that in her mind, she knows he needs treatment for his rage issues right away. She wants Carter's pistol and three additional guns to be seized.

Also, Martin wants Carter evicted from the house.

This petition comes a few days after Carter said he and Martin broke up and that because of their failed relationship, he now finds it hard to trust women.

He said, "My relationship has come to a point where we have to part ways. Please respect my privacy at this time. Thank you."

"I have no intentions on being in any relationship anytime soon. I'm too scarred and I can't trust any woman. So I'm going to protect my soul and my heart at this time," he added,
