Ariana Grande 'Yours Truly' Album Release Date & Cover Art PHOTO
Ariana Grande revealed her debut album's release date and cover art via Instagram on Wednesday.
"My debut album Yours Truly will be available for preorder next week & released September 3rd," she wrote along with the photo.
On the Yours Truly cover, the songstress sports a short dress and sits on top of pink roses. Propped in front of a pink background, the 20-year-old looks straight at the camera with her hands placed on her lap.
The Nickelodeon star also tweeted her fans the news and several responded with excitement.
"You are gorgeous, I can't wait for your album & I'm super proud of you :)," one fan tweeted her.
"So beautiful! So proud! This album will change the face of music as we know it... I'm freaking out for u all!" wrote another fan.
Grande released the album's lead single The Way, featuring Mac Miller, in March. The video has garnered over 70 million views on YouTube, and the tune also earned her comparisons to Mariah Carey, whom Grande admires.
"You know I love just like old R&B. I love the '90s, that whole vibe. I love Mariah Carey, of course, she's the goddess of all vocals," she told MTV in May.
"But, yeah, I just wanted to do something old school and soulful and something that I like to sing. And that's what I really clicked with," she added.
Her manager Scooter Braun also spoke to MTV about Grande's debut.
"Her album is a throwback to the great R&B of the '90s," he said in a July interview. "And she has some incredible ballads on there."
Braun also revealed that the album will be followed by a sophomore effort in February or March.
"She's recording so much music that we feel like we can keep the momentum going. I'm so incredibly excited about the album and the music. This girl would live in the studio if she had the opportunity," he said.
