LIGHTNING STRIKES TWICE! Kanye West's 'Hurricane' Music Video Released AND Song Nominated For a Grammy!
The music video for Kanye West's hit song Hurricane has finally been released.
Kanye West recently released an album titled Donda. The musical masterpiece instantaneously sky rocketed. It is the number one album globally. One of the hit songs from the album is Hurricane. Fans of West were excited yesterday to see that hear that this album continues to rain down on them with exciting news. The music video has officially been released!
The video follows the same color scheme as one of Ye's other recent videos. His previous stop-motion claymation video, which was under fire do to alluded threats towards Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, also played out in a gray-chromatic realm. This decision helps to visually tie these videos together.
West is known for putting elements of his real life into his art. The video opens with several masked figures, a nod to the rapper's look at 2022 Paris Fashion Week. While the first video was claymation, this video appears to be entirely CGI. while clearly attaching the video to his personal life, he seems to be making a point to keep his videos as unreal as possible.
Hurricane is certainly a stand-out hit from the well-received album. While the entire album was nominated for a Grammy Award, this song was singled out. Hurricane was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
Congratulations to Kanye West and his team for the nomination. We are excited to see who takes home the awards this year.
