Heath Freeman's tragic last moments have been detailed, including the cause of his death.
Four months after Freeman was found unresponsive in his bed, the Travis County Medical Examiner released a report that stated what led to his death.
People quoted a news outlet that obtained a copy of the official document, saying that Heath Freeman's cause of death was due to drug overdose.
According to the report, the 41-year-old "Bones" actor died due to multiple opioids and narcotics that entered his system. This reportedly resulted in a deadly combination of fentanyl, cocaine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, and alprazolam.
Meanwhile, Page Six noted that the manner of death was an accident.
A spokesperson for the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office did not release an additional statement. The actor's family is yet to give an update, as well, following the new development.

A brilliant human being with an intense and soulful spirit, he leaves us with an indelible imprint in our hearts," Montifiore said at the time. "His life was filled with deep loyalty, affection, and generosity towards his family and friends, and an extraordinary zest for life."
Freeman was found unresponsive in his bed at his Austin, Texas, home in November. The responders who arrived at the scene eventually pronounced him dead. Meanwhile, the police later discovered oxycodone and alprazolam (Xanax) inside his home.

He landed on his first role on the hit NBC series, "ER." During that experience in 2001, he initially guest-starred as Kevin in an episode. He then appeared as Benjamin Frank in "NCIS."
Freeman found his luck when he was selected to portray the role of killer Howard Epps on Fox's "Bones from 2005 to 2009. During that stint, he also started working in "Raising the Bar" as Gavin Dillon from 2007 to 2009.
Even before his death, he remained one of the most in-demand stars as he was still able to start working on three upcoming films: "Terror on the Prairie," "Devil's Fruit," and "The Outlaw Johnny Black." All of which already reached their post-production.
