Kate Middleton Defended: 'She's Not Copying Princess Diana!'
Kate Middleton recently received unwanted advice from a royal expert.
The Duchess of Cambridge has been cautioned not to put too much effort into trying to be like her mother, Princess Diana.
Following the unveiling of a previously unseen portrait of the late Princess of Wales, many have pointed out the similarities between the two royals.
Photojournalist David Bailey captured a black and white side profile of the Princess of Wales in 1988, and published it as a picture in 1988.
With her gaze fixed off towards the horizon, she posed in a satin one-shoulder gown with teardrop earrings.
The image, on the other hand, was compared to some of the previous images released by Kate Middleton to honor her 40th birthday, which occurred earlier this year.
A similar type of clothes was worn by the mother of three in the photograph, which was taken when she was posing and facing away from the camera.
Many similarities exist between the two photographs, according to royal historian and biographer Angela Levin, who encourages Princess Kate not to copy her mother-in-law's appearance.
"I believe Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, should maintain her individuality," Levin wrote on Twitter. She is not required to act in any other person's role, including Diana's. The way she is, she's wonderful for me."
Levin's tweet quickly sparked a firestorm of discussion among royals fans, who were keen to express their opinions.
One commentator observed that the Duchess of Cambridge does not appear to be seeking to copy the late Princess of Wales because they can identify no other similarities between the two women other than the fact that "they are both charming and nice," as they put it.
Another person stated that, despite the fact that Kate Middleton has been in the public eye for 20 years, she has never attempted to be someone or anything other than herself.
According to a third source, the monarch has already put her own stamp on things and has achieved success without the involvement of Princess Diana in the process.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's 'Happy Place'
Because they have been in the public eye for so long, Prince William and Kate Middleton have come to treasure their solitude.
Despite the fact that they are treated as royalty everywhere they go, the couple has a special place in their hearts for a house where they used to live a normal life and blend in with the locals.
In 2010, the couple moved into a four-bedroom house on the Welsh island of Anglesey, where they were able to live as if they were just another married couple. They were allowed to go to the stores and were not followed by any members of the crew.
According to royal expert Jennie Bond, the Cambridges have a special connection to the Welsh island since "it was also the location where they were able to spend their first few years of marriage together in happiness."
"Their time in Anglesey was really pleasant; they went virtually unnoticed and, for want of a better word, were ordinary."
While Prince William was away on official business for the Royal Air Force, Kate, a commoner at the time, ventured to the grocery shop unaccompanied.
