"Derry Girls," the hilarious Channel 4 sitcom about five teenagers living in 1990's Derry, is coming back for season three! To drum up excitement for the hit show, the Channel 4 YouTube channel released the season three trailer earlier today in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Written and created by Lisa McGee, "Derry Girls" is based on McGee's own experiences growing up in Derry, Northern Ireland during The Troubles. While season one showed the teenagers at the center of the story growing up amidst the troubles and season two showed them during the uncertain peace process, according to Channel 4's description, season three is described as: "While there's hope in the air that The Troubles may finally be over, their troubles are only just getting started as they get ever closer to 'adulthood.'"

In the snappy trailer, we see the gang, Saoirse-Monica Jackson's Erin, Louisa Harland's Orla, Nicola Coughlan's Clare, Jamie-Lee O'Donnell's Michelle, and Dylan Llewellyn's James go through various hijinks, while reminiscing about the days when they used to "live on the edge." As the friends find themselves back in trouble again, they spit out memorable one-liners, such as Michelle telling James to stop his "English breathing."

We're super excited that "Derry Girls" is coming back soon for its final season! We'll be sad to let these wonderfully funny friends go.
