Sandra Bullock To Pause Acting Career for This Heartbreaking Reason
While filming her latest movie, Sandra Bullock says she knew it would be the final time she appeared on screen for a while. It's devastating to learn why the actress is pausing her illustrious career. She seemed to have come to terms with the fact that her work has taken away from her time with her family and she had to do something about it.
"I can be creative, I can be part of a community, but right now, work in front of the camera needs to take a pause," the Lost City star says in an interview set to air on CBS Sunday Morning.
She also said she does not know how long this hiatus would be.
"Until I don't feel how I feel now when I'm in front of a camera," she says in a teaser for the entire interview, which will run on Sunday. What she knows right now is that she just wants to focus on her family.
"I want to be at home," she continues. By declaring, "I just want to remain at home," I am doing a disservice to others who have invested in a project. In order to keep up with my relentless pace, I was always on the lookout for something new to do. It's just one thing I'd want to focus on."
"The Lost City," which opens in theaters on March 25, is Bullock's last film "for a long time." The actress, who has a 12-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter, stated that she can be so focused when at work that she can deprive her own children of quality time whenever she's acting. But now, she wants to devote the same focus and attention to her kids and her family.
Fans can still see her though.
Bullock will appear in Brad Pitt's "Bullet Train," which was initially scheduled for release in April, in July. Early in the spring of 2021, the filming on that project came to a close.
Fans who cannot wait for "Bullet Train" should watch "Lost City."
John DeFore of the Hollywood Reporter termed the romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum "enjoyable throwback" in his review of the film. Daniel Radcliffe, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuez, Patti Harrison, and Bowen Yang make guest appearances alongside Pitt.
In the last couple of years, the actress has churned out Netflix blockbusters such as the the 2018 "Bird Box," and 2021 "Unforgivable."
