This is a beautiful woman. Those who say otherwise either have an agenda, or deep-seated insecurities and a fear of powerful women.Getty
Like, we really don't know how you could see this picture and not come to the conclusion that Emma Watson is gorgeous.Getty
They caught her mid-step, clearly trying to get somewhere, and she still looks pretty.Getty
Here she is doing some ADORABLE pose while chatting with a reporter on the CHANEL red carpet at the Night Before BAFTA Dinner - once again mid-speech, once again pretty.Getty

Seriously, look at that face. This Was the exact same night. You wanna call THAT busted?? As if.Getty
You guys are hating on this angel? Yeah, okay. Sure. She's not pretty. It's not your deep-rooted insecurities coming out disguised as disgusting misogyny. No. You clearly have the superior opinion here.Getty

Emma Watson mid-hair flip. Still pretty.Getty
Come on. She was caught in the middle of trying to awkwardly fix her dress. She's STILL pretty.Getty
First of all, we have to discuss how gorgeous she is in this perfectly posed photo - we LOVE the little snake wrap detail on her shoe! But, as you'll soon see in the rest of these photos, she looks beautiful even when she's not trying.Getty
Here she is the same night, surrounded by reporters and photographers who want to grab a picture of her - you'd think, with all of those cameras, Twitter trolls would have managed to find more than one or two pictures of bad angles. It's almost like...she hardly has any.Getty
Boys on Twitter are stupid.
Sorry, didn't mean to generalize - I'm sure there are plenty of civil young men on Twitter. But the trolls who have been making Emma Watson's name trend on the site for two days are not among them.
Is the brilliant actress and activist trending because of another lovely speech she made on women's rights? Did she land another awesome role? Did she get into another ivy league school?
Oh, no, she just took a slightly bad photo. Of course.
The ire aimed at the actress online by internet trolls with nothing better to do right now is ridiculous. You'd think, by now, we'd be past disparaging women for what they look like, but I guess these sad incels still think it's her job to stay quiet and look pretty for them.
I won't do them the service of putting their tweets in this article - they don't deserve the exposure - but here is the picture in question:
I keep seeing this posted all over right wing twitter as proof that feminism ruined Emma Watson or something.
She looks...normal. Like I don't even understand the uproar: This is a bad angle, for sure, and the lighting isn't the best, but nobody looks good when you capture them midsentence.
Hey, here's an idea: Let's look at all the other photos there are of her from this night, and from other recent events like the BAFTAs. You know, the ones where she's actually prepared to be photographed and not trying to talk to the person holding the camera. Then all these trolls can post pictures of themselves, and we can compare.
(What? That sounds mean and unnecessary? Oh, you don't say...)
