'The Harder They Fall' Visionary Filmmaker Jeymes Samuel Bringing Comics To Netflix in the MOST Epic Way!
Jeymes Samuel is bringing comic books to life on Netflix.
Jeymes Samuel was the visionary film maker behind the epic modern masterpiece The Harder They Fall was Samuel's debut feature film, and it was an incredibly successful one at that. It featured a memorably talented cast, including Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, and LaKeith Stanfield.
Now, however, Samuel is making a powerful transition into the world of comics.
As announced in an article on The Hollywood Reporter, the powerhouse talent will be taking two different comic books and combining them together to create one epic film. The film will be written by Oscar nominated screenwriter Kemp Powers; With Samuel and Powers at the helm, we can be sure that this one will be unmissable.
The two comic books being blended to create this film are titled Irredeemable and Incorruptable. The film will chronicle the story of the Plutonian, who is known to be the world's greatest hero.
The Plutonian, when faced with all of the pressures that come with being a supernatrual force of good, eventually caved, instead charting a path to recurrent evil. The latter part of the story follows the supervillian Max Damage as he tries to stop the Plutonian.
This film will be produced by Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, James Lassiter, and Jeymes Samuel. Also on the producers' end are Stephen Christie and Ross Richie, through the production company Boom!
We cannot wait to watch these incredible comic books come to life on screen.
