The Duke is suing The Mail on Sunday for a libel exclusive that revealed how "Harry tried to keep his legal fight over bodyguards secret."

According to his legal team, the whole report and the media uproar that ensued had caused Prince Harry continuing distress.

Prince Harry Suffering Continuing Distress

According to the royal's legal team, the piece and its "adverse and hostile" comments by readers are "self-evidently exceptionally serious and damaging" and represent an attack on his honesty and integrity that can potentially undermine his suitability to be involved both in charity and philanthropic activities,

A monetary award, an injunction barring the publication of defamatory comments in the future, and the disclosure of the High Court's decision are all things he is asking for in his libel suit.

The Duke has reportedly "suffered serious damage to his reputation and substantial hurt, embarrassment and distress which is continuing", the royal's lawyers say, in a High Court case seeking "aggravated damages" for the Duke.

The Daily Mail was the first to report that Harry was suing the Home Office for failing to provide him and his family with police protection while they were in the UK.

The Duke's team issued a statement shortly after the article was published on January 16 announcing that the Duke was requesting judicial review.

On January 2020 in Sandringham, the Duke first volunteered to pay personally for UK police security for himself and his family, according to the statement.

When the Duke of Edinburgh visited the UK in June 2021, or in any subsequent communication, government lawyers claimed indicated the offer of cash "was notably not forwarded to Ravec [the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures]."

The discovery of no money forwarded is a shattering response to Harry's original public statement that claimed he had always been prepared to foot the tab, The Mail on Sunday wrote the following week.

Prince Harry More Vulnerable Than Meghan Markle

In another report, it is said that Prince Harry has been quite vulnerable since he moved to the United States with Meghan Markle. The report even said that the roles between him and his wife completely reversed. This can reportedly be seen in their interview with Oprah.

According to Judi James, during the couple's contentious Oprah Winfrey appearance, Meghan seemed "assured" while Harry appeared "weak." According to the expert, when Meghan initially arrived in the UK, the Duke of Sussex was the "overly protective spouse," but now Meghan takes on the role of "rescuer and protector."

"I think the tide has completely changed looking at the Oprah Winfrey clip," she said. "This hand gesture that you can see, he's got his hand on the chair and she's placed her hand on top," she added.
