Liza Minnelli looked frailer than ever when she was spotted in public with her longtime friend, George Hamilton.

Minnelli recently celebrated her 76th birthday, and she extended her celebration by having dinner with Hamilton. Daily Mail shared the exclusive photos of the actress and her friend at West Hollywood's II Piccolino restaurant on Monday night.

However, the actress sparked concerns as she was in a wheelchair throughout their outing. She was also escorted and received help to get into her car after dinner.

Despite that, she still managed to flaunt the glamor she sported in her 50-year-old series "Cabaret." The actress wore a sparkling black dress and complemented it with jewelry and her black pixie cut.

Although she has not publicly discussed her current health status, the actress previously suffered several issues over the years.

Is Liza Minnelli Ok?

In 2018, she told The Guardian that she could not eat on the days she needed to perform due to a hernia.

"I have a hiatal hernia, which I got when I was pregnant and they put me upside down trying to hold the baby - and the baby passed away anyway - but I got a hernia, so if I eat and sing like that, and all that muscle, it hurts!" she said.

According to Mount Sinai - New York, the condition occurs when part of the stomach suddenly extends through an opening of the diaphragm into the chest. It may be linked to the backflow of gastric acid from a patient's abdomen into the esophagus.

She was also hospitalized in Florida once after suffering from a stroke-like disease. During her stay, she was diagnosed with viral encephalitis, a virus-inducing brain infection that also causes inflammation in the organ. Its complications include paralysis and speech impairment.

Minnelli also had past hip and back issues, telling NBC that she was once told she would not walk and talk anymore.

On top of these, she contracted pneumonia in 2000 after undergoing surgery in 1997 to remove polyps from her vocal cord. The procedure, at that time, caused her to be on an 18-month hiatus.

The actress then had hip-replacement surgery, knee-cup surgery, and jawbone reconstruction surgery following a fall. She contracted pneumonia again three years later.

In 2013, she injured her wrists and underwent back surgery to correct her two crushed vertebral discs.

What made these things worse was the fact that she had multiple problems with addiction.

Amid all these, she assured her fans that she still got a lot of living to do in her life.
