Miley Cyrus' Life Endangered; Plane Makes Emergency Landing After Tragic Event
Miley Cyrus and her whole crew were endangered while they were on their way to the Asunciónico music festival in Asunción, Paraguay.
Cyrus first delivered the worrying news through an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying that the plane they boarded had been struck by lightning. As a result, they had to make an emergency landing and missed the festival.
In the video, the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker showed how bad the weather was before a flash of lightning appeared in one of the plane's windows.
"Our plane was caught in a major unexpected storm and struck by lighting. My crew, band, friends, and family who were all traveling with me were safe after an emergency landing. We were unfortunately unable to fly into Paraguay. I LOVE YOU," she said.
She also shared a photo of the damage on the plane's exterior caused by the lightning.
Due to the incident, Cyrus did not make it to the festival which the organizers eventually canceled due to the extreme weather conditions. Foo Fighters, Machine Gun Kelly, and Doja Cat were also unable to perform.
Miley Cyrus Made Chile Concert Crowd Go Wild
Before missing the festival, Cyrus was still able to meet her fans in Chile.
During her performance, she read an NSFW sign about her ex, Nick Jonas.
"F**k Nick Jonas," she told the crowd, "I didn't say it... I didn't say it, it's just one of the other signs."
Cyrus and Jonas dated in 2006 when they rose to fame as Disney stars. At that time, the then-teen couple said it was love at first sight that they began dating the day they met. However, they broke up two years later.
Despite their split, she once hoped she could still have a future with the Jonas Brothers member.
During her interview with Seventeen magazine, she revealed that they loved each other and claimed that they still do. She recalled how the singer became her 24/7 during the two years of their relationship.
However, they reportedly began arguing a lot until they called it quits.
Their breakup eventually led her to change her style, including coloring her hair black after Jonas wanted her to have highlights.
Cyrus ended up marrying Liam Hemsworth, but they agreed to separate in September 2019 a few months after they tied the knot. Her representative told People that they wanted to focus on themselves and their careers afterward. She also dated Cody Simpson but broke up with him, as well.
