Wendy Williams' Friend or Foe: This Person Files To Be Her Legal Guardian [DETAILS]
Does Wendy Williams have a friend or a foe?
With all of the TV show host's recent sagas, her ex-manager Bernie Young, whom she fired earlier this year, is said to have "quietly" filed documents in New York court to become her legal guardian.
Several insiders revealed to The Sun that the 77-year-old manager filed a plea for guardianship over Wendy in a sealed case roughly two weeks ago, despite the beleaguered star's refusal to work with him.
The former presenter of "The Wendy Williams Show" had already distanced herself from Bernie in recent months, but according to another insider, during her contentious lawsuit with Wells Fargo, the bank stated that her former manager was operating in her best interests.
Other insiders familiar with the continuing court drama allege Wendy's first action against the bank to recover access to her frozen money has now been merged into the main guardianship case.
Wendy Williams filed an emergency plea against Wells Fargo to reopen her blocked bank accounts, which allegedly hold millions of dollars.
The bank then requested that a guardianship hearing be held for her because she was a "incapable person" who may be a victim of "financial exploitation."
Regrettably, the case has been closed to the public.
Wendy's 21-year-old son Kevin Hunter, Jr. now has power of attorney over her, with another insider alleging he hasn't applied for guardianship over his mother because they both don't believe she would require one.
According to sources close to the celebrity, her overall health improved after she relocated to Florida to be with her family while recovering from a number of medical issues.
Wendy Williams Accuses Bernie Young of Stealing Her Credit Card
Meanwhile, if Bernie Young is appointed as Wendy Williams' legal guardian, she has accused him of taking money from her in order to fund his legal counsel to obtain guardianship over her.
She answered questions about her former boss and ex-Wells Fargo financial advisor, Lori Shiller, in a three-minute video.
"This is not fair, and Lori Schiller and Wells Fargo have filed a guardianship suit to prohibit me from accessing my money."
"This isn't right and it's not fair," the mother of one remarked.
"I know Bernie Young used my American Express card to pay an attorney to file a petition against me."
She also accused a previous doctor of emailing Lori medical information on her, adding that they used "this material to create the guardianship" over her.
