While performing in Detroit, Justin Bieber paid tribute to Michigan native, Eminem.

The 19-year-old performed a rendition of the rapper's 2002 hit Lose Yourself during a stop on the Believe Tour on July 28. Unfortunately, the Biebs fumbled on the song's opening verse. Instead of rapping the line "His palms are sweaty," Bieber said "His palms are heavy."

Performing Eminem's track has become a ritual for Bieber during his shows in Detroit. The singer rapped the 8 Mile soundtrack's single when he visited the city in 2010 and 2009. During those two performances, he made sure to get the words right.

Eminem previously referenced Bieber in his song A Kiss. The track appears on 2011's Hell: The Sequel, a collaborative album he made with Royce da 5'9".

"Him don't give a damn about Beiber," he raps on the song. "What a demon, a behemoth. Evil just seems to be seething through him."

The 40-year-old is currently working on a new album and according to those in his circle, it's phenomenal.

When asked to describe Eminem's new album on Twitter in June, his close friend, Mr. Porter, whose real name is Denaun Porter, replied, "Have not heard anything like it."

Alchemist, Eminem's DJ, told MTV in June that the album is "clearly going to further territories." He also said that fans won't be disappointed because of "his caliber and what he does."

Rapper Big Sean was also in the studio with the rapper in April and he said the their collaboration could appear on Eminem's forthcoming record.

"You might get it from my album, you may get it from his album, you may get it a little later," Big Sean told MTV News in a June interview. "We've got to work all that out."

The album will be the follow-up to to Eminem's Recovery, released in 2010. It will be his eighth studio album.
