Dave Coulier Shares Bruised, Bloodied Selfie on Instagram for THIS Important Event
Dave Coulier shared a bruised and bloodied picture of him on Instagram - and a different thing actually happened.
This week, Coulier made his fans worried as he shared a shocking photo of him online. But his caption explained that the image actually served a special meaning to mark a notable day.
According to the "Fuller House" actor, his post reminded him that he quit drinking more than two years ago.
"I was a drunk. Yes. An alcoholic. I've been alcohol-free since January 1, 2020. When I drank, I was the life of the party. I could make people laugh until they fell down," he said.
The 62-year-old then explained why his face was covered in blood in the selfie, saying he took the picture after falling down some stairs made of stone.
Although he managed to reach the place where he is right now, Coulier admitted that the mental and physical withdrawal challenged him. Thankfully, he has his wife, who has been supporting him since day one.
To complete his post, Coulier took his time to describe the life he has now after quitting alcohol.
"The sky is more blue, my heart is no longer closed, and I enjoy making people laugh until they fall down more than ever before. Thank you, Melissa, for being by my side. I love you," he said.
His wife replied to his post and said she loves his strength so much. His former "Fuller House" co-star, Candace Cameron Bure, also expressed that she has always been proud of him.
Dave Coulier's Career
Coulier has been out of the spotlight after the end of 1995's "Full House" and before the "Fuller House" reboot in 2016.
But between those years, he tried to do other jobs by voicing characters on "The Real Ghostbusters," "Robot Chicken," "American Dad!" and "Muppet Babies."
In 2019, he told Today that his personal skills completed his role in "Full House"
"I'm an airplane pilot, so we did an episode where I got to fly Jesse and drop him off in a tomato patch. We did an episode where I got to play ice hockey. And we also got to incorporate some of my stand-up in the show," he said.
After having enough spotlight in Hollywood, he and Melissa decided to relocate to the actor's hometown in Michigan. According to Hour Detroit, living in a lake home had been one of his dreams.
