'Bridgerton' Season 2 Has Been Out For 8 Hours And There Are Already 8,000 Thirst Tweets
Twitter has found themselves quite overcome - but really, can you blame them?
Season 2 of Bridgerton launched at Midnight PT, 3 AM EST this morning - which means, at the time of this writing, it has been out for about seven and a half hours. But that clearly hasn't stopped the whole of the 'Twon (the Twitter Ton, if you will) from BURNING their way through all eight episodes - and thirst tweeting about some of the juciest moments on the show.
There's been a lot of reports of how things are less steamy this season, but if these tweets are any indication...it's not by a whole lot.
This second season of Bridgerton will focus on the love life of eldest brother Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), who ended last season nursing a broken heart after the final end of his on-again, off-again relationship with a feisty opera singer who had had enough of his emotional constipation.
This season, it is Anthony's firm intent to find a wife, and to have her be the perfect model of a modern woman to become Lady of the Bridgerton household - in true Anthony fashion, looking to do his duty to on-paper perfection.
However, a major wrench gets thrown into the works when he meets Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), an outspoken, fierce and independent woman who infuriates him to n end...which, of course, means that she is everything he actually wants in a wife.
You can see all the steamy fights and even steamier apologies right now on Netflix - because, as we mentioned, Season 2 dropped mere hours ago.
Enjoy - and, if you, like us, can't get enough and just wanna keep digging into the show, give a listen to our podcast Whistledown, Pinkies Up, where my coworker Carly Polistina and I break down Bridgerton Season 2 and take a closer look at all of the best moments.
