J.K. Rowling has made a big move as she attended the premiere night of "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" despite having an issue with several cast members due to her views on transgender people.

According to Variety, the famed author decided not to attend the HBO Max special "Return to Hogwarts," which brought original stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Ruper Grint together for the 20th anniversary of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone."

Although Rowling was invited to participate in the long-awaited reunion, she reportedly declined, leading HBO Max to use archival videos of the writer from 2019.

She attended the latest film's premiere night on Tuesday at The Royal Festival Hall in London, the United Kingdom.

The movie is the third installment of the "Harry Potter" spinoff franchise. Fans from the United States can watch the film starting on April 15.

Rowling's attendance comes after her public stance against transgender people and opposition to laws that make it easier for them to change genders legally.

In 2020, Emma Watson spoke out against Rowling in defense of trans folks after she mocked a news article for using the term "people who menstruate."

"Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren't who they say they are," the actress wrote. (via Elle Magazine)

Other "Harry Potter" stars like Radcliffe, Katie Leung, Evanna Lynch have previously spoken out against the author.

Ezra Miller Misses the 'Fantastic Beasts' Premiere Night After Being Arrested

Although J.K. Rowling, who serves as co-screenwriter and producer of the film, is present at the event, lead star Ezra Miller didn't make it to the premiere after getting arrested by law enforcement in Hilo, Hawaii.

The actor plays the role of Credence Barebone in "Fantastic Beasts."

Per the outlet, the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after an altercation at a karaoke bar.

Hawaii County Police Department reported that South Hilo authorities responded to a report of a disorderly patron over the weekend.

Miller reportedly yelled "obscenities" before grabbing the microphone from a woman singing karaoke and later "lunged at a man playing darts."

At the time of this writing, the actor has not publicly addressed the matter.
