Lamar Odom is still talking about his ex Khloe Kardashian. While he already said he missed her and would want to become close to her again, the Will Smith slapping Chris Rock controversy triggered him once more to think about his ex-wife.

As part of the 2022 Oscars controversy, Lamar Odom managed to bring his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian into the fray, speculating that they might still be together had he stood up for her in the same manner that Will Smith stood up for Jada Pinkett Smith.

Odom, 42, said on Instagram Tuesday that if he had protected his wife instead of mentally, emotionally, and spiritually abusing her, he may still be married. The statement came after Smith, 53, slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about Pinkett Smith, 50, at Sunday's Academy Awards.

"He loves his wife," the former NBA player added of the actor. "I do not condone violence against anyone. @willsmith loves @jadapinkettsmith I was told love covers a multitude of sins."

In the years after he and Kardashian, 37, divorced, Odom has admitted to several wrongdoings, including telling Us Weekly in 2017 that he had cheated on Kardashian during their marriage.

"Bitches and THOTs came out of the woodwork," he explained at the time. "If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn't the stand-up thing to do. I wish I could have kept my d-k in my pants."

Despite the fact that the "King Richard" star failed miserably in handling the situation, Odom feels Smith was only striving to be a decent spouse to Pinkett Smith when he made a public ruckus of slapping the comedian over an insensitive joke.

"I see everyone arguing the merits of this altercation, taking side, dragging them both to hell when it all boils down to love," he said in his Instagram post. "He loves his wife. She was hurting, it is a husband's responsibility to protect his wife. That is what he vowed to God and her, he owes us ZERO explanation as to why he chose to hit @chrisrock."

Odom and Kardashian were married for four years before Kardashian filed for divorce from him in December 2013. She withdrew the divorce papers after Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October 2015. She helped him first in his recovery before beginning the divorce proceedings anew,, which were finished in December 2016.

As someone who has had his marriage scrutinized, the ex-Laker - who only a few weeks ago stated that he was "doing everything" to reunite with Kardashian - appealed to the public to hold off on passing judgment on the Oscars spectacle. It's apparent that the event struck something within him.
