O.J. Simpson became the latest personality to share his thoughts about Will Smith and Chris Rock's slap at the Oscars.

Smith and Rock are yet to leave news outlets' headlines as more celebrities continue to comment on the incident. Most recently, Simpson also weighed in and said that Will was indeed wrong for slapping Rock.

On Twitter, the NFL star-turned-murder suspect shared a nearly two-minute video where he shared his thoughts about the Smith slapping Rock on the Oscars' stage.

He said that the event was unfortunate and that the actor was wrong. Still, he clarified that he understood the "Men in Black" star's sentiment, comparing it to the days he was raising his children.

"I understood the feeling. In my life I've been through a lot of crap when I was raising two young kids and every comedian in the country had an OJ routine and don't think I wouldn't want to slap a couple of those guys," he said. "After what happened with me in Las Vegas, if I would have done that in front of a billion people watching around the world, they would have given me 'life without.'"

Simpson was referring to the NFL overtime rule change, which he was never happy about. But he still thought it was a better option after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated Buffalo Bills during the AFC showdown.

O.J. Simpson Also Faced Rage During Peak of Career

In the remaining seconds of the video, Simpson talked about his career in the NFL and how his conviction following the 2008 armed robbery changed his life.

He served nine of the possible 33 years of imprisonment after receiving a conviction in 2008 on 12 counts of felony armed robbery and kidnapping. The case was related to the crime he led in 2007, assisting five men in stealing his alleged memorabilia at a Las Vegas hotel.

However, he was never convicted for allegedly murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman in 1995.

His comment came after Smith issued an apology to Rock, saying that his behavior was unacceptable and inexcusable. He wrote on his Twitter page that "Violence in all forms is poisonous and destructive."

Will extended his apologies to The Academy, producers, and attendees of the show, saying that he regrets how his behavior stained his name.
