Fans are still enjoying "Riverdale" after six seasons and more than a hundred episodes, but it seems like Cole Sprouse wanted the series to end, as revealed in a recent interview; what was his reason?

In an interview with GQ Magazine, Sprouse, who stars as Jughead Jones on the famed TV series, said he's ready for the show to end after half a decade, and he wanted to "wrap it up with a bow."

In addition, the "Suite Life on Deck" actor said his castmates are excited to embark on a new chapter of their lives.

Sprouse also shared a revelation, saying he's not a "creative force" behind the CW series and doesn't have "creative control."

"We show up, receive the scripts often the day of, and we're asked to shoot," the actor said of what they were doing on set.

Earlier this year, the show went back for its sixth season, and the timeline was different from its initial teen drama as the characters jumped seven years into the future.

The original cast remains the same, with Lili Reinhart playing Betty Cooper, KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, and Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge.

'Riverdale' Showrunner Reveals a Potential Ending Scene

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa previously spoke to Entertainment Weekly, teasing a potential ending.

He said when they first pitched the show to some of the executives, they said, "so is this just a high school show?" since the series revolved around teenagers.

The showrunner recalled thinking, "I hope it continues into young adulthood."

Aguirre-Sacasa added that "Riverdale" will end when Archie has a child.

Although he didn't reveal who the possible mother is, it seems like Betty Cooper will settle down with Archie Andrews in the future as they are getting along in recent episodes.

However, it's unclear what will happen to their relationship. In "Chapter One Hundred and Two: Death at a Funeral," Betty revealed that she's leaving Riverdale because the Trash Bag Killer, also known as TBK, followed her into the small town.

After the explosion in the Andrews household, Betty and Archie got powers as the former can see if a person has bad intentions while the latter acquired superhero-like strength.

On the other hand, Jughead lost his hearing after the incident, but he realized he could hear people's inner thoughts.

The next episode of "Riverdale" will air on April 3.
