When Jim Carrey spoke out against Will Smith's assault on Chris Rock at the Academy Awards last Sunday, he was met with a barrage of criticism.

In two separate videos, the comedian is shown "sexually harassing" a then-20-year-old Alicia Silverstone at an awards gala in 1997, before violently kissing Will at the same event the following year.

Last month, Jim criticized the Academy Awards audience for giving Will an unexpected standing ovation after winning Best Actor. This came less than 30 minutes after he struck Chris on the stage after making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's alopecia being discovered.

Will disclosed on Thursday night that he would be retiring shortly, and he said that the acclaim and standing ovation he received had left him feeling "sickened." He believed that he should have been hauled out of the Dolby Theater.

Fans, on the other hand, were eager to label him a "hypocrite" in response to recently leaked film of him sexually assaulting Alicia Silverstone live on stage at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards, which was recently published.

In an old clip that has lately gone viral on the internet, a 35-year-old Jim Carrey walked up to the podium to take an award from the "Clueless" actress, but he also grabbed her by the head and dragged her into a kiss while she struggled to get him off her.

In another video, Jim was caught on camera attempting to kiss Will after he was announced as the winner of the Best Kiss award at the same event.

Despite Will Smith's best attempts, Jim gripped his neck and stuck his tongue out towards his face as he was ready to come up on stage. Will Smith, who was 28 at the time, was unable to shove Jim away.

In response to the two clips of Jim Carrey thrusting himself into other people on social media, some users have accused him of being a hypocrite for criticizing Will while abusing Will and Alicia a few years ago.

"As a result, he assaulted two people in the course of one night and no one said anything. He should take care of his own affairs "One tweet expressed this sentiment.

"What Jim Carrey did was an ASSAULT on the system. He's filthy, and he had no business putting himself in the position of anybody else "another person stated.

Third-party sources described him as "a complete and utter piece of s-- on so many levels."
