Wondermind is a collaborative project between the former Disney Channel child star, her mother Mandy Teefay, and Newsette co-founder Daniella Pierson.
The goal of the platform is to normalize working to enhance one's mental health. It's defined as a "open, entertaining, and simple space where individuals may come together to explore, share, and negotiate their emotions."
The three discussed their ambitions for the platform and how their personal experiences with mental health drove them to establish the idea and share it with the world in an interview with "Good Morning America."
The platform, according to Daniella, isn't only for individuals who have been diagnosed with mental illness, but also for those "who have feelings."
It is reportedly designed to help those who are lonely, fearful, nervous, or experiencing any other bad emotions.
Wondermind would provide daily material, resources, and activities to assist customers understand the tools available to better their mental health.
An expert council of the world's greatest psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists from various backgrounds has also evaluated the platform to guarantee that they are aware of and accountable for the resources they are promoting.
They did advise, however, that the platform should not be used in lieu of a therapist.
They further recommend that people with mental health issues engage with a therapist in addition to using Wondermind to improve their "mental fitness."

Selena Gomez has openly discussed her mental health issues in the past.
She sought therapy and attended many volunteer programs to manage her sadness, panic attacks, and anxiety after being diagnosed with lupus in 2014.
She also spoke about therapy and how it improved her life, noting in an interview that she spent 90 days in a treatment facility doing individual, group, and horse therapy.
"The Come and Get It" singer was on tour at the time and described the experience as "lonely" since her self-esteem "was damaged."
Getting off social media is another way the "Lose You To Love Me" singer takes charge of her mental health.
In an interview with Vogue, she explained how Instagram had become so engrossing for her that she was seeing things she didn't want to see, and as a result, she's staying away from social media and has apparently uninstalled the app, enabling her assistant to post on her instead.
