Grammys 2022: SZA Accused of Faking Injury; Here’s Why She’s Using Crutches
Many shocking things happened during this year's Grammy Awards, and the mystery behind SZA's crutches was among the attention-grabbing moments.
However, online fans took to Twitter to accuse the R&B singer of faking her injury during the music industry's biggest event of the year.
One user shared a video of SZA going up the podium and appearing to be walking normally to accept her award with Doja Cat.
The two singers won the Best Pop Duo Performance award for their song "Kiss Me More."
"I can't get over SZA faking it," one fan wrote.
"SZA out here faking injuries like she's an NBA player??? said she has a broken foot yet she's wearing heels lmfaoo ya ok," another fan pointed out.
Despite the criticisms the singer received, many fans defended her, saying she won't gain anything for faking an injury, and there's no reason for her to lie.
At the time of this writing, the 31-year-old songstress has not reacted to the online accusations; however, during the press conference, she finally revealed why she's using crutches.

The night before the Grammys, the singer/songwriter said she fell out of bed.
"It's very funny because I fell out a bed right before it was time to leave and get ready for this... Everything awesome in my life has always come with something like very random, but it just adds to the energy," she added. (via Billboard)
The "Ctrl" singer recently took to her Instagram stories to reveal that her leg is broken, not just sprained.
