Sending Out the Bat-Signal! 'Batman Unburied' Podcast Starring Winston Duke Announces Release Date!
Batman Unburied, the new Batman podcast, is coming exclusively to Spotify on May 3rd.
The Batman universe is expanding into the podcast world. According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, the new Spotify-exclusive podcast, Batman Unburied, will be making its way to the streaming service. In this podcast series is the first of a new project with DC and Warner Bros. The companies are set on creating podcast series revolving around various DC characters. Batman is the first to make his way into the podcast realm.
Batman Unburied will star Winston Duke in the iconic role of Bruce Wayne. Not much is yet known about what the podcast series will follow. From information that has been released, we know that the show will start with Bruce Wayne working at Gotham Hospital. He will be employed there as a forensic pathologist, and his patients are victims of a villain known as The Harvester.
This podcast series will feature an absolutely star studded cast. The cast is made up of powerhouse performers such as Hasan Minhaj, Jason Isaacs, Gina Rodriguez , Lance Reddick, Toks Olagundoye, John Rhys-Davies, and Ashly Burch. These are the stars of the U.S. English-language version of the podcast. There will, in total, be eight adaptations of the show globally including versions for Brazil, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Mexico.
This is the first of many DC character podcasts that DC and Warner Bros. Have plans to make. Other series are set to chronicle the stories and adventures of characters such as Wonder Woman, Lois Lane, Catwoman, and Batgirl.
