Tory Lanez was handcuffed in court after he violated his protective order with Megan Thee Stallion.
Previously The Toronto rapper was arrested for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. After his arrest, a variety of protective orders were put in place. One of the main stipulations in the protective order is that the rapper was not permitted to contact or mention Megan Thee Stallion at all. Basically the judge pulled a Will Smith telling Tory to Keep Megan The Stallion's name out of his MFing MOUTH! However, a recent social media post violated this requirement.
The tweet that got Lanez in trouble read, "Good D**k had me f***** 2 best friends...and I got caught...that's what I apologized for...it's sick how u spun it tho..." The one letter, "u," is what has gotten Lanez in trouble considering it was in clear reference to the performer.
According to an article on TMZ, the judge has now set Tony Lanez's bail at $350K. To the prosecution, this is not high enough. They are fighting to have bail set at $5 million or to have Lanez held without bail. He is currently in the process of posting the $350K.
Lanez is being held and charged with firing a gun in the direction of Megan Thee Stallion. The bullet hit her and inflicted bodily harm. Lanez has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If he is convicted of the charges, he could potentially be looking at a twenty-two year jail sentence.
