Tammy Sytch Shocker: Ex-WWE Star Involved in Fatal Car Crash Due to This?
Tammy Sytch is currently embroiled in a car crash case that killed a 75-year-old man in Florida.
The Ormond Beach Observer revealed that Sytch, a WWE Hall of Famer, was involved in a fatal three-car crash on March 25. Ormond Beach, Florida police that a probe is already underway, warning that criminal charges could be filed.
The initial police press release revealed that Sytch failed to stop on US1 north of Granada Blvd. around 8:28 p.m. that day. She then crashed into a stopped vehicle before crashing into another vehicle in front of it, causing a chain reaction.
The wrestler was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center where she received treatment. She was later released after police obtained approval to get a blood sample as part of the investigation into potential impairment.
"OBPD has requested an expedited timeframe on the processing of these samples," a police spokesperson told a news outlet. "And the results will be made available as soon as the department receives them."
What Happened to Other Crash Victims?
The driver of the second vehicle, Julian Lafrancis Lasseter, was rushed to the same medical center where he was pronounced dead. The driver and passengers of the third vehicle also sustained injuries, but they were given first aid at the scene.
Sytch is yet to be arrested for a crime since the Ormond Beach Police Department Traffic Unit is still investigating the case. However, it may soon lead to criminal charges.
Ormond Beach Police Chief Jesse Godfrey said, as quoted by Fox 29, "Our hearts go out to the Lasseter family that lost their loved one in such a tragic event."
Sytch has a history of DWI (driving while intoxicated or impaired). In 2019, she marked her sixth DWI arrest overall and third within the same year. At that time, Asbury Park Press reported that the WWE star was stopped after driving the wrong way.
Officers found an open container in her vehicle and discovered that she was driving with a suspended license. With that, she received additional charges due to consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Sytch also faced the worse as she had several traffic warrants in Holmdel and Knowlton municipal courts. Two years prior to that, she said that she wanted to enter rehab after receiving five years' probation following her three different DUI arrests.
