IT'S NOT 'COMPLICATED' ANYMORE! Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun Are ENGAGED!
Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun are officially engaged!
Things are far from "Complicated" with these two lovebirds. Punk rock superstar Avril Lavigne is officially engaged to her boyfriend, Mod Sun. The two met and started dating, ironically, while collaborating over her new break-up album, Love Sux.
Well, it certainly does not for these two!
While the couple just announced their engagement today, they actually got engaged on March 27th. However, the two have been taking the past two weeks to revel in their newly-engaged bliss alone, without the eyes of the general public on them.
Avril Lavigne is absolutley over the moon, both with the engagement and with the story of the proposal. In an exclusive with People, the singer shared:
"It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for. We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. WE had a violin player, champagne, and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment."
If you're not crying at that, you'll be crying very soon.
The ring was personalized to best represent the relationship between the two. The rock is heart-shaped with hearts from XIV Karats, but that is not where the impressive item stops. The Sk8r Boi singer revealed:
"It has the words 'Hi Icon' engraved in it, which were the first words he ever said to me. And it has Mod+Avril on the inside.
He knew from the very beginning I wanted a heart shaped diamond becasue on the day we met, we had matching heart shaped paved rings on.
We've worn them every day since, so its only fitting to have a heart-shaped engagement ring. I love it so much."
Alright, now we are grabbing the tissues. Congratulations to the happy couple!
