Former wrestler turned actor Jon Cena has had his hands full over the past couple of years. What with his character of Peacemaker becoming one of the most popular DCEU characters since The Suicide Squad, plus being spun off into his own hit series for HBO Max which had the highest single-day viewership for a season finale on HBO Max. It is already filming Season 2.

Cena's newest venture is an action-comedy called Officer Exchange, which has found a distributor. Amazon Studios has gotten the rights to the film in which John Cena will be starring and executive producing. As reported by Deadline, the film revolves around Cena's character named Shepard, Shep for short, who is "a wrecking ball of a cop," who has to team up with an Indian police officer to stop a diamond smuggling ring in India.

Written by Ben Zazove and Evan Turner, whose other film, The Out-Law is in post-production over at Netflix. Peter Safran and John Rickard are set to produce Officer Exchange for Amazon through The Safran Company.

Other projects slated to star John Cena are a live-action Loony Toons film Coyote vs. Acme for Warner Bros., the thriller The Independent co-starring Brian Cox, and Freelance with Allison Bree.

John Cena has made a name for himself, not only as an action star but also as an extremely funny comedic actor in films like Amy Schumer's Trainwreck, and Daddy's Home, and he also played the villainous brother to Vin Diesel in Fast 9.
