Kate Middleton and Prince William were reportedly invited to Brooklyn Beckham's wedding, but Meghan and Harry were not, based on a new report.

David Beckham's eldest son, Brooklyn, married Nicola Peltz on Saturday in a lavish ceremony costing £3 million. It's widely believed that the Cambridges asked the Beckhams to their own wedding in 2011 so they are also invited to the present gorgeous Florida affair.

In any case, it's safe to assume they politely declined the invitation and didn't show up for the festivities.

David and Victoria were also invited to the Sussexes' 2018 wedding but it's now reported that they have not extended the same courtesy to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

David and Harry are well-known for their friendship, and it has long been expected that they will be on the guest list. But apparently this is not the case.

Was there a valid reason? In the world of showbiz and royalty, where public image reigns supreme, it seems there is.

As reported by Mirror, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not receive an invitation. This is not however, out of spite.

As reported by The Sun, David and Victoria Beckham "agonized" over inviting William and Harry and Meghan and Harry to their wedding.

Because of their lengthy friendship with William and Kate, it was determined that they should attend.

David and Victoria Beckham invited William and Kate Middleton and the rest of the family to their son's wedding, according to a close family insider who spoke to the publication.

In response, William wished them much happiness, but they were unable to attend.

William and Kate have always been the Beckhams' first choice because of their "extremely solid relationship," it is said.

Security concerns may have also prevented the couple from accepting their invitation.

After years of getting to know each other, David Beckham and Prince William have developed a close connection. Beckham now frequently joins the Duke to raise mental health issues in the public eye.

David and son Romeo sat in the Royal Box with Kate and William at the Euros last year.

After England's victory over Germany, the former player took a photo with Kate in the backdrop.

Photographs from the game also show the couple joking around with the Beckhams, who were seated right behind them, during the halftime performance.

In an interview from a decade ago, David admitted that he and William are "excellent buddies." But he did say he's also close with Prince Harry.
