Jada Pinkett Smith has officially made her first public appearance since Will Smith stormed the stage to slap Chris Rock in the face three weeks ago.

During this year's Oscar awards, Chris Rock made a joke in his set about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair. Will Smith quickly stormed the stage and slapped Rock in the face. Since this time, the King Richard actor has since been banned from the awards for ten years. The drama surrounding the slap, however, continues to resonate. Jada Pinkett Smith has just made her first public appearance since the events took place.

According to an article on People, the actress was spotted at the grand opening of Rhimes Performing Arts Center on Saturday. She was seen with her friends Shonda Rhimes and Debbie Allen. Rhimes is, obviously, the woman behind the new arts center. Allen's dance company, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, will set up its home base in the new establishment.

There have been few other resolutions regarding the aftermath of the slap. It remains unknown whether Chris Rock and Will Smith have spoken about the happenings since. Rock's brother Kenny came out to discuss the anger he himself still feels about the event.

"The joke was funny. It wasn't hilarious funny, but I know that if he knew that she had alopecia ... he wouldn't make a joke about that...It eats at me watching it over and over again because you've seen a loved one being attacked and there's nothing you can do about it."

We will keep you up to date on any more resolutions that come to light.
